If you don’t have any issues with digesting them, beans can be a very healthy and inexpensive way to make a broth. I prefer Rosecoco beans (Nyayo) beans which I soak for 24 – 36 hours. Sometimes I let them sprout. 

Sprouting improves flavour and taste but it soaking for 24 hours works well too.

I simply boil them, in the same soaking water, plus some garlic, ginger, tomato, dania, hoho, carrots, potatoes, sea salt and chili pepper, about 1 hour 15-30 minutes depending on the quantity. Bring to boil, reduce heat to medium-low, then cook and enjoy.
